Now, more excellent news this week from the Dorset Tourism Awards…!

Hen Parties and Boat Selfies & Powerboat Racing

Been a busy few weeks at Lyme Bay RIB Charter partly due to the glorious weather, sunshine and ideal northerly winds!

The Jurassic Coast is looking its splendid best again.

No signs of the dolphins inshore as yet but fingers crossed they’ll make an appearance soon…

One or two cool additions around the Harbour at West Bay during the last few weeks which are really helping to cheer the place up!

Mark Cornwell, skipper of Sea Seeker trawled up this huge anchor and kindly donated it to the harbour which you find on the roundabout and John from River Brit Rowing Boats has been busy repairing these old dinghies and giving them a new lease of life as well as brightening up the harbour pavements by turning them into flower beds!

Good work chaps!

The RIBs have been busy with a good start to the Water Taxi service and some really good fun Hen Parties chartering…

Weekend 28th & 29th June saw the National Raceboat Championship and National Zapcat Championship leg held in West Bay.

This was the 2nd year the event was held here and the weather was kind!

Racing happened on both days and we were lucky enough to get some cracking photos which we’ve posted in a Facebook Album here

Plenty of pictures of all of our daily shenanigans on our Facebook page which is the best and quickest place to see what we’re up to!

head over here to see all the fun….

Crazy noisy Hens take to the water

Saturday 19th saw certainly the noisiest Hen party team take to the water with us here at LBRC…!

The 15 strong party arrived at the quayside and started the day with a sing off and chanting before setting about a ‘boat race’ drinking race to start the day…

A brief stop for our hen to retrieve her pirates hat from the briny and we were away – of course being a good sport she obliged to the house rule of

30 minutes of more singing and chanting later we arrived in a blustery Lyme Regis.

All ashore for a day of beach games, sing offs and naughty merriment – and no doubt a drink or two…

The return trip home proved to be certainly the noisiest RIB trip we’ve ever seen!

Screaming singing laughing and heckling was the way forward.

Much fun had by both the Hens and the LBRC team.

Thanks for choosing us to help with your days activities ladies….

Cold, wet & bumpy but great fun on the water!

A bright start to the day on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast and the sun shone on the West Bay cliffs reminding us just how lucky we are to live here!

Our day ended well with Gordano U16 rugby team fresh from a win over Bridport joining us on the RIBs for a blast along the blustery coast.
Waves crashed over the bow soaking everyone, the RIBs cleared the water several times but everyone was laughing cheering and singing…
Verses of ‘Swing Low’ & a particularly noisy chorus of ‘We love you Milo – we do…’
Great to be back on the water….

LBRC winter break

Every wondered what the LBRC skippers get up to in the winter?

Contrary to the most popular suggestions of ‘playing PlayStation/staying in bed/watching Jeremy Kyle/nothing’ this winter we headed out to the snow…

Skippers Sam, Richie Zoe & Milo swapped their shorts & T shirts for salopettes & goggles and hit the Portes du Soleil slopes for a weeks skiing boarding, eating and the odd shooter or two!

Sambuca anyone???
