LBRC in the finals!

A cracking start to 2015 not only with the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G BROADCHURCH back on our screens but also LBRC were also named as finalists and collected a SILVER place at the South West Tourism Awards for Tourism Experience and Bronze for Skipper Milo for Outstanding Customer Service!!!

Coupled to taking home double golds at the Dorset Tourism awards in October, the shelf is starting to bow a little now…

12th Feb ’15 saw 98 trophies handed out to the elite of the regions tourist industry (which LBRC is proud, and perhaps a little surprised, to be included in!) at the Grand Pier Weston Super Mare.

The event was hosted by ITV new anchor Kylie Pentelow, with an inspiring and amusing speech from SW based travel writer, presenter, marine biologist and seemingly all round good egg Monty Halls…

Michael Eavis, organiser of the legendary Glastonbury Festival was also present for the evening and was himself recognised and awarded and Outstanding Contribution award for his many years of service and drawing literally millions of people to the region over the years…Michael Eavis SWTAwards

As a result of reaching the finals of the regional round LBRC has also been selected to enter the national Visit England Awards scheduled for later this year, which if chosen as a finalist will be an AWESOME accolade in itself… we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

We’ve posted an album of pictures from the SW awards night on our Facebook page SO CLICK THIS LINK TO BE DIRECTED THERE

The boats will back for Easter

See you then!
